JOHN E. LIBBY, CPA

If you are like my business or nonprofit clients you’re committed to building a successful business – and seeing big results. With growth and success sometimes comes stress and doubt. I know what it feels like to have the success of your business outpace your ability to manage it, while still attending to the things that matter most to you.  I still struggle to balance it all and you may too. Finding that balance is tough but together we can manage it, you are not alone although it may feel that way sometimes.

Maybe you are not a business owner but are trying to navigate the complexities of your tax situation. Whether its individual taxation, estates, trusts or anything else. It just feels good to know that a professional is on your side and taking care of it while you work on what matters most to you.

I have a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH. I am a licensed CPA in Maine and New Hampshire with mobility in Vermont. In addition to being a CPA I am also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).

My experience in accounting and audit over the past 10 years ranges from small and regional CPA firms to multi-billion dollar corporations. You could say I have seen it all. As a governmental and not-for-profit auditor I audited municipalities ranging from Maine’s largest cities to small rural towns, including their school systems. Not-for-profit’s included small to medium sized private schools, housing authorities, service providers, associations, youth centers and many others. As an internal auditor for a large paper manufacturer and two public utilities I learned a great deal about the inner workings of large corporations. As a small business owner myself I understand how difficult it is to manage all aspects of a business. I am here to help you reach your goals! or just to vent your daily frustrations and find ways to get through them.

When I am not working I am spending time with my wife and children or building my house in Tuftonboro.

 

ALISON GUMPERT

Alison joined the office as an accountant in 2017, bringing with her 15 years of experience with varying responsibilities spanning finance, audit, business analysis and management.  She has worked in diverse business settings from non-profits to large government contractors.

Her daily activities include bookkeeping and playing a key role in the preparation of accounting work papers, tax returns and assisting our clients with their general business management needs.

Alison holds a Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Alison and her husband live in Meredith where they support their three young children in many sports and activities.  In their free time they like participate in cycling events and work on their home.
